Audience Mood Board

I chose these images because I feel like it represents my target audience very well. More specifically I feel like most people that will read my magazine will be interested in these products also, for instance the ripped skinny jeans are something you will see someone who listens to indie music wear quite a lot, along with the type of shirt and hat I added an image of. Vans is quite a popular brand with the audience I want to aim my magazine at. Starbucks is something that appeals to the audience and is quite an iconic "hipster" brand. Although most people use social media sites now-a-days it is more commonly know as something young, indie people would use. I also included an image of an Iphone because the audience I am aiming my magazine at is very in to apple products.

Music Magazine Questionnaire Responses

The fact that 90% of people read music magazines who answered my questionnaire makes the results I gathered reliable. I asked which three colours would best suit a front cover and the two most popular answers by far were white and black, and then the third colour will be my choice of either red or green as they were the second most chosen options. I also inquired about the price of a music magazine and although the majority said they would only pay 50p, the second most popular answer was £1, and as most people would probably push to £1 I would say it's most beneficial to price music magazine at £1. Most people said they would like a magazine to be published weekly. I also wanted to find out what music most people listen to and the answer was Indie with 60%. Free stuff needs to be included as 100% of people said they would like it in the magazine. 60% of people said they would like to hear about the personal life of a musical artist. As 80% of the people who answered this questionnaire were male I will target a male audience aged from 13-18 as 80% of people were aged in this bracket. Finally the magazine should be multi-platform as 100% of people would like it to be.
