Audience Questionaire Analysis

From the questionnaire I found out 90% of people said that they don’t read the current college magazine, because of this we think we should redesign it and try to attract more students to read the new and improved magazine that we will make. I will choose 3 of these five colours to use for my magazine because they were the most popular: Black, White, Red, Blue and Green. Another question we asked was how frequently people wanted to have the magazine published, the most popular options were to do it either monthly or every term, third most popular was to do it ever fortnight so because of that to cater for the 50% people that want it quite regularly, the magazine will be published monthly. The price was another thing we enquired about, with 40% of people saying that they weren’t prepared to pay for it, which means that 60% were prepared to pay some amount of money for this college magazine, so we’d try to get a price around 50p because that was the most popular option when it came to the price. We also debated what people were most interested in magazines, with the most common things being music, food, competitions, revision help, and fashion. These 5 things will be cover lines on the college magazine. We will include free stuff, like coupons in the magazine because 95% of people said they were more likely to buy the college magazine with free stuff included. The front cover needed an image so we asked what students would like to see on the front cover, we asked if they would want; a teacher; a student; Student work; or something else. The most popular were students and student work. We also asked if people would want the magazine to support multiple platforms to which 80% said yes, so the magazine will be made physically and published on the internet also. We will include adverts in the magazine because 75% of people said they wouldn’t mind adverts in the college magazine, this will maybe reduce the price of the college magazine because places will pay to have adverts in the magazine which will help to pay towards the price of making and prints the magazines. And lastly the magazine will be handed out in the reception and the coffee shop because that’s the most requested places by people for the magazines to be distributed.
